Overview<\/h3>\n

The intention of the University of Central Florida (UCF) Fleet is to:<\/p>\n

o\u00a0 \u00a0Provide university-owned vehicles to departments for short-term rentals to meet temporary transportation needs.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0 \u00a0Create an efficient solution for increasing existing vehicle utilization<\/p>\n

o\u00a0 \u00a0Reduce the need for permanently assigned vehicles<\/p>\n

o\u00a0 \u00a0Reduce maintenance and repair costs on fleet vehicles with low utilization.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The vehicles in the fleet are purchased with general funds, but there is a sharing responsibility for the operational needs and costs. Unfunded expenses will be reviewed annually to determine rates for the following fiscal year (July 1- June 30).<\/span><\/p>\n

The program will be facilitated through an automated web-based self-service vehicle reservation system that is available 24\/7 via The UCF MobileApp.<\/p>\n

When does it start?<\/h3>\n

TBD. However, those who wish to participate on our Beta program, should complete the Request form and provide their departments worktags.<\/p>\n

Request access to program<\/h3>\n

Departments must register for a motor pool account with Parking and Transportation and can do so by filling out the submission form by clicking the button “Rental Account Request” above.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0 A list of approved drivers who are employed with the department will need to be provided, along with a signature from the department head.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0 Each approved driver should have a valid driver\u2019s license and subject to university monitoring to confirm no moving violations that could be of liability to the university.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0 Parking and Transportation will review the submission forms and approve the requesting department to register for an account for the web-based rental service.<\/p>\n

o\u00a0\u00a0 The approved drivers will be able to use single sign-on** to access the platform and make reservations for a rental vehicle.<\/p>\n
